Subscriber to Beethoven's Op. 1 Piano Trios and dedicatee of Joseph Eybler's Op. 2 string trios. The Tomejan family, which belonged to Hungarian nobility, was first ennobled by the Holy Roman Emperor in July 1770. A Vienna address book from 1805 lists his residence as Schulhof, Stadt 446. He seems to have inherited the house around this time from his father, Joseph, who had owned it since 1795. His death was announced in the Wiener Zeitung.
